Those that oppose the Iraq Invasion are supporting terrorism. Those that oppose identity cards are doing the same. They said last week "We are surprised that so many GPs saw the new contract as a way to boost their own income." That was the Government sweetener to get them to sign the new contracts and give up the old. Spin one way, then spin it the other when it suits you! If they didn't conceive that this could happen are they just admitting they are naive and not fit for purpose! Anyone been recently diagnosed with asthma by their GP? Lets face it the main thing this Government do better than any other is get lots of people, businesses, charities, Local Authorities to spend their good budget money trying to move with Government Policy only for them to withdraw the ideas, modify or fudge them, or just bin them cos its a bad idea and they took a while to realise it. The list is endless: Compliance with EC directives when France just say we don't do that, Home Information Packs -now a survey isn't mandatory but an EC Energy Efficiency report is. ( I can see that happening in the Greek Islands!), NHS sell land then find that spending cuts mean they cant move services from the land they have sold so have to pay compensation to the House Builder. Save cash by not building new prisons but also get tough on offenders ! Lets face it BW made plans supposedly based on a hard and fast business model then the goal posts got moved. It happens to us all in our day to day working life and quite often in our leisure time too. We are the Government it's what we do! Waste everybody's time and money. Here endeth the rant ! Trevor
