But how will these members be chosen. By election? By self appointment. I fear as an IWA member that there's an attempt to steamroller this one through without proper discussion. Certainly without keeping the membership fully informed of what's happening. Now here's a challenge: I know there are members of Council who are on this list. Could they openly answer three questions: 1. Is it true that there a proposal to alter the constitition of Council, reducing the numbers of its members? 2. How are these Council members to be chosen? 3. Why has the consultation paper been issued in advance of this matter being decided when it has clearly been a matter of discussion for more than three months now? I would also be interested in knowing - a matter of curiosity, you'll understand, nothing more - why head office seems to have entirely distanced itself from Roger Squires' piece when its intention was only to canvass the views of the membership.
