I find it difficult to agree that the Foxton Locks Inn is 'dreadful'. 
It is a extremely popular and the beer has always been good when I 
have tried it. Never tried the food but it looks OK at reasonable 
prices (Perhaps I am too used to London prices!)

The new bridge 61 is very basic but with good beer, you wouldn't go 
there for the food though.

Agre that the Black horse is a friendly pub with OK food, the one 
Jazz night I spent there was very enjoyable. Have also heard good 
reports abou the other pub in the village, the Shoulder Of Mutton.
