Not wanting to be a particular defender of this pub but I would still 
say that your friends or your own experiences do not reflect mine. I 
ate there last Saturday night when the pub was heaving and the food 
was perfectly acceptable. I would also note that there have never 
been less than four real ales on when I have visited, in fact there 
were six on last weekend, The pub is also listed in the 2007 CAMRA 
good beer guide.
