Hello everyone! I am new to the group so I'll tell you a bit about me. I live in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada with my husband who originates from Lancashire. He immigrated here 2 1/2 years ago. Before that he owned a canal boat (Holly) and did some extensive traveling on the canals in the UK. I was able to go on a few trips with him including a one month journey from the NW to London to Nottingham and back home. We have booked a trip there for a fortnight at the beginning of October. We'll be spending our entire time on a hire boat. My husband has the whole route mapped and planned out. I am really excited about it! Hopefully I will remember how to operate a lock since it was over 3 yrs ago that I last did it.
