My favourite BW notice is at Tyrley. It welcomes you and tells you all the 
things you can and can't do. But it's so weathered that while the You CAN is 
readable the YOU MUST NOT is gone. So here we can throw stones, shoot, swim, 
damage structures and so on.
 
 Here and at other places the old notice board (with details of facilities 
along the canal) has been replaced by a flash Waterscape one, which like all 
the others of this type newly erected we saw had no information at all.
 
 Incidentally, Truly water supply is condemned and the tap covered - which has 
happened before here over the years

BW have put in planning apps. for many lock gate notices round here 
which were published in last weeks Nantwich Chron.
