If I had a pound for every time I found the bl**dy bridge left over 
Stanstead lock, I would be very happy....
Naturally I always left the bridge parked properly...  Except being very 
lazy one wet and awful day (in the 16ft cruiser), when I couldn't be asked 
to move it, and just used the lock "as is" - going *down* of course, no way 
would I do that going up with those paddles!!!
