I knew you'd say that Martin, and it inspires me that you do. I do the same
when anyone bad mouths Leicester. Every canal should have champions. Besides
which, I think my view on this is well known: that it is futile giving a
canal a bad reputation which is tantamount to condemning it. In my defence
(though it isn't much of a defence and I'd have been better off not saying
anything) I'd move heaven and earth to avoid doing the T&M South of Alrewas
at the side of the A38.

Whoops, have I put my foot in it again?
