It was Sheila's one non-negotiable requirement that we had a washing
machine on Sanity. We got a washer dryer, but in practice have seldom
used the dryer, and won't bother with one on Sanity Again, just a
basic washer, driven by a high output inverter.
We find that in the winter you can dry stuff by the Squirrel, partly
by dropping the cratch cover, opening the bow doors and hanging the
washing in there. The heat form the Squirrel then rises into the
cratch and dries the clothes.
In the summer, we leave the cratch cover rolled up, and just dry the
clothes outside.
At this time of year, we do a mixture of both.
