Just to complicate matters, I seem to remember that "Gold" licences run from
1st Jan to 31st Dec each year. When you applyfor a "Gold" the unused portion
of a BW licence (Nearest full month) is refunded and you get a new licence
which is for a year, probably 2010 perhaps?

This has complicated things for me, as I now have to pay for a licence in
December (For a Jan 1st start), and I have a lump sum paid to me each year on
the 10th January. Not the best Cash-Flow situation, being Christmas and all
that! I am thinking of getting a short term (3-month?)licence to put the matter
right. ~Allan~
