Hi Alan,

The January 1st start is a pain but this was why I decided on having a 
(convenient for me) 6 month BW licence first...

However, having just read Julian's post, I think I'd best ring BW 
tomorrow and check ....

I've got to buy an anchor and chain as well so that I can join the other 
owners of same and have a little extra (clean and shiny) ballast around 
my feet at the stern - talking of which, I'm seriously considering 
modifying the back end and converting it to a semi-trad style - has 
anybody here done anything similar?
