That's much how I felt about it. A huge amount of preparation and worry, 
and it was interesting, but I've seen rougher water in Glos Docks.

The Thames out of Limehouse, mid afternoon last August, with a strong 
wind and spring tide, was much more rufty-tufty. There were white 
knuckles on the tiller. That crossing to Lydney a few years ago, 
however, is still the only time that the missus has been seasick on our 
boat.

Thought Bristol Floating Harbour was a great place to be, even if 
somewhat expensive. There are some very nice looking new moorings 
opposite the SS GB.
