Trevor I have often left our boats on the towpath side in the Uxbridge area without any problems. Short term moorings near to the Swan & Bottle either side of Oxford Road give good access to Underground and buses. Alternatively just below Cowley Lock but access is no so good. There is also a boat yard in the area can't remember the name.
