actually, it should not be a problem. the hxp_imageclient will upload any file that you drag onto it. You can also drop multiple files and then let it do the upload in the background while you do something else.
For storing the DICOM into the (radiology) appropriate folder, there need to be a few changes on the server side, but these should be minimal.
