I am happy to announce that the PubMed Search Engine is now available in
German, English and Spanish. Although the interface is still in English,
you can write your terms in German and the engine will first translate into
English and then query PubMed. The database contains only 31.000 terms so
chances are you might not get the right term on the first go.
The URL is:
http://www.cerebroperiferico.com/medline/index_de.php (German Controlled
Terminology)
http://www.cerebroperiferico.com/medline (Default Spanish)
http://www.cerebroperiferico.com/medline/index_en.php (English Controlled
Terminology)

For example, using the URL for German, in the "Medical term" field write
Akutschmerzdienst and on the "Search field" to the right select "Root term
(MeSH)"
On the row below write bmj (for British Medical Journal) and select
"Journal".
On the row below write 2002:2004 and select "Date of Publication"
Now place a checkmark on "Free fulltext" and click on the "Search now"
button. You should retrieve one article (from PubMed) that matches these
parameters.

I would love to see this idea mature and soon become a module/plugin for
Care2x. If anyone wants to collaborate in this area, or even just translate
the interface screen to German, please drop me an email.
I have developed a dictionary with these terms for the PocketPC in order to
know beforehand if the search engine will translate appropriately. Let me
know if you would like to receive a copy.

All the very best,
Daniel
