AW: [Care2002-developers] HL7 in Germany

Hi to all,   I am one of the founders of the myCare2x network in Germany. Our goal is to bring the care2x Application to the customers in Germany, to develop for and to support them.   I have learned in my job in the healthcare business that HL7 is a often used protocol to communicate between several application servers. Interfaces between applications are necessary but they are most often the biggest problem in hospitals.   At the moment I tried to win a customer for care2x and I am sure to win him in the next weeks. We will start in the Sonography department with result reporting and display them on the wards. One of the conditions of the hospital to start a pilot was to implement a HL7 interface. I programmed a HL7 interface the last weeks to import HL7 files from an administration system to care2x. At the moment I support the ADT messages ADT^A01 (admission), ADT^A02 (transfer), ADT^A04 (outpatient admission), ADT^A08 (change) and ADT^A03 (discharge). The interface  runs very stable at the moment. I have a further agreement with the University of Mannheim which will complete the work on a HL7 Server for care2x using my programming with one of there students (Diplom).   If anyone need more information about that HL7 interface, or will help to complete that tool, please contact me per email.   If you will be in Germany, you can see the interface on the exhibition ITeG in Frankfurt next week.   The next planned steps is supporting the HL7 messages for the laboratory system.   I will also inform you in the future about the result reporting tool which is based on the htmlarea tool working with text modules (Bausteinverarbeitung in German).   Regards J.
