Hi, I want to comment some issues on your long discussion. I am not software developer and see the whole issue from user point of view and after following this development since 2002. The hospital software requirements are so different in different countries that it is not easy to make a big groups working on the same goal like Ubuntu or many other packet softwares. If it would be we would have many good options for open source software for health care. I think realistic is to find co-operation in regions, where requirements are similar like we have at least in East Africa at smaller hospital level and maybe in other areas in this continent.
Also software developers seem to have different opinions how to do some details. I have seen many fights in this channel specially in the earlier days. Now it has calmed. But of course this kind of soup done by many cooks could and should be improved. There are many flavours. But here we have been pragmatic: we take what is available and build our customization on that. I do not know better alternatives in open source market from which to start. The more we get resources the better we can make it with time. Mauri Niemi ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Check out the new SourceForge.net Marketplace.
