Wow.  Standard packages would an amazing boon for the community.  It would 
probably make it much easier to bake-up VMs (e.g., turnkey's TKLpatch).  
Eventually, I think the docs could encourage folks to choose an install method 
that best matches their needs:

 * Source builds: devs, more customized environments
 * Packaged installs: common setups & platforms
 * VMs: testing, demonstration, _maybe_ production, etc.

Somebody let me know their hotel room number at the Jasig conference, and I'll 
have some beer delivered!
