Hi Paul, finally someone who is using CAS and moodle:) I have been also working on CAS+Moodle+Drupal, but i notice that the CAS plugin in moodle is made to work only with LDAP server. I've made a system like Moodle&Drupal having SingleSignOn/Off using CAS and LDAP server, and this is working just fine. I also try to make a Moodle&Drupal having SingleSignOn/Off using CAS and an External DB, this is not working unfortunately since moodle makes LDAP mapping and i can't make ExternalDB mapping. Do you have any idea how can i make this thing work?
For your problem, i'm not sure that i can help but i will try. Can you check (do you have access to) the Tomcat server logs for the CAS app? There you can see bether what is going on.
