If the proxy is a true proxy, casting it to Resume should be completely legal. The fact that you recevied this error tells me that the proxy class is not a true proxy (ala java.lang.reflect.Proxy). And while we're on the topic, I'm also still curious as to why you're using the OJB proxy. Why not just make use of java.lang.reflect.Proxy on your own?
