Hi Ralph and all,

Seems to me over the years, that I have seen far more posts from members
that fell off their boats on the hard, then when sailing. Remember Carl
Schaefer? He had a tarp thrown over his open companionway hatch, and was
working on the cabin top, stepped onto the tarp and fell into the cockpit
and stabbed himself on his A4 throttle and shifter. Thats the only one
that comes to mind, but it seems to me that I have heard of others that
have fallen off their boats while on the hard.

Don't know why, but it sure seems to me that working on your boat on the
hard is more dangerous then when sailing it.

Yours in sailing,

Larry Taborek
