catalina27-talk: Exhaust pipe wrap?

OK, I have all new pipe fittings to make an exhaust pipe but I can't find anything, other than header tape, to insulate the it with. Any suggestions? The old stuff looks like asbestos, is it?     And one last question. Has anyone converted an older raw water cooled engine over to  fresh water cooling?   Thank you!    Ray Winkle 5275 Knot Home Gloucester Point, VA.
