You would have to take the bow sprit off the tall rig to make it conform. By no means am I saying don't come to the event, but just trying to tell you that the local fleet is rather stringent about measuring. And the unlimited access to the trailer doesn't mean you won't have to deal with the state restrictions about the WIDTH of the load from there to here. Again we would love to have you but my experience is the hassle factor would be a lot more limited if you just came up sans boat and played with us. On the other hand if you think you can come up with a "new" boat and beat the guys that have really figured out how to make these tubs go "fast" we would love to have the new blood. And please understand that I am not among those that are considered anything but a number in the scoring. I do okay as crew but still haven't figured out how to compete with the good sailors in the fleet. I have been on board every boat that has won Hi Point since I started racing with the fleet 6 years ago, but haven't done any better on my boat in ANY race than 2nd (with Tim and another perennial crew standout) in any event in the last 5 years in Hi Point races. It is a tough crowd, but one of the best group of guys and gals you will ever come across and we race our asses off during the day and party with each other while talking shit all night long. Get back up the next day and start it all over again. Let's just say that Tim could (and has) race in just about any OD fleet on the bay and continually comes back to the C27, Fleet 8 in big events.
