Lance, I too, would recommend PoliGlo for your hull.  I have a '71 C27 that had 
never been repainted that I used PoliGlo on, and it came out looking like new 
gelcoat.  The key to a good job is to clean it well with the cleaner provided.  
This is the second boat I have used it on (the first, a C22 in Oklahoma)  and 
have had comments as too being the shiniest boat in the marina.  It looks great 
and is easy to keep up with, about an hour a year.  I did paint the deck, using 
a 1 part poly paint and have been happy with it.
