I wonder about that. Across the dock from my boat is a Melges 24 that is dry sailed (he keeps it on a lift). The keel, which I have never paid much attention to, looks like a dagger-board that has sharpened leading and trailing edges. I don't recall much "foil" to it. I will look more closely the next time I am down at the boat.
