no need to check, it's clearly a mix-up with the chord length and the
thickness...I have no idea how that got thru unaddressed by the i550
masses. I should have pointed out the mistake when I referrenced the class
rules, sorry!!!

there are polars! I cant remember where I saw them...one of the challenges
with this
build is: there are kernals of wisdom on:

-the class site
-the yahoo group
-two or three different threads on Sailing Anarchy.

so I have tried to keep a Build Bibliography, put I am a little behind on
that.

but anyway, upwind it is just an 18' LWL boat.
off the wind, it should plane in about 8 kn true, and really come to life
in 12...I'll
try to find the polars.

forget the canting keel, there's no way that's gonna happen!

keel will be a plain old lifting keel, not fixed, havent worked out the
mechanics of
keeping the thing in the boat yet.

Andrew (hull #1) had serious issues with keel vibration with his first
one...it's pretty apparent in one of his videos, they call it the "wobble
board." I think it was more a seating issue in the keel trunk than a
strength of material issue...cant remember.

thx very much for your time, Dr.
