It's a bit of a extravagance for a small boat like ours . In my humble opinion. But.....Some folks have AC appliances like Microwaves, Ice boxes.. etc... I have a cheap small 150 watt portable inverter to run my laptop Power Supply...That's all I need. There are some who might have issues with the AC output waveform ,on cheaper inverters, causing problems for some AC gadgets but I've not experienced it.
