Hello List, I have a 1985 Catalina 27 tall rig with teak coaming rings in the cockpit. I want to replace them with plastic coaming rings which I own. What is the best way to remove the teak rings? What type of adhesive is holding them in place? Is there a solvent, safe for the fiberglass gelcoat, that will soften the adhesive and make the rings easier to remove?
