I am in the process of moving here from Seattle, where I had a C25. I sold the boat there and wanted to move to a slightly larger boat, staying with Catalina as I just loved my old boat. Anyway, most of the used C27's currently for sale (at least those I have seen) are in the mid to late 70's vintage. Almost all of them have an outboard of 6 and sometimes 8 HP outboards. I had a 9.9 on my C25, which seems adequate. Can a larger heavier boat like this be successfully powered by a 6HP engine even in the face of tide changes? Thanks, Steve _________________________________________________________________ Give to a good cause with every e-mail.
