let me say this
We are currently having motor issues and between cussing and writing checks
we are looking at re-powering too. I ONLY know this motor ('97 4 stroke
Yahama 9.9 High Thrust)and when it works it works well. It sips gas. For
those on the Chesapeake Bay, we have a 3 gallon tank and can go from West
River to Saint Mikes under power and back and still have fuel left over!
so... WE FIX IT AND KEEP GOING !!
But we think we could go 8 HP and be happy too!
The Doghouse is 5/4 teak on the sides and 3/8 teak ply on top. The Traveler
car gets in the way even if it is al the way to one side. I have to lift one
side to kinda torque the hatch to one side to clear the traveler car. My
bad for buiding my traveler wood block that fits..... "just right" maybe too
right!
Throw cushions sit nice and tight on each side of the doghouse and make for
a soft platform when the BBQ is on the pulpit! My 11 yr old daughter has
claimed this area as hers while underway as well!!
