I used to have a Black Diamond harness bought from Sierra Trading Post for
about $36--even the economy models are great, and feel really secure. I
lost the harness in a move--and if I've got to send my bosun's chair back
(looks like I might, since the webbing is the issue) then I'll pick up
another climbing harness and be happy. I can always attach a rigger's bag
and a few tools to the loops around the harness belt--there are always half
a dozen or so--and use my own lanyards to keep them from falling.

By the way, I always thought the cupholder wasn't the greatest idea--I mean,
cupholders are wonderful, and staying, um, hydrated is a wonderful thing.
But if I could do damage to my boat or crew by dropping a screwdriver or
wrench, I suppose I could also do some damage by dropping my adult beverage.
A few weeks ago I bought this outstanding travel mug at Target--holds 24 oz,
double-wall insulated polycarbonate, with this really neat twisting top you
can work with one hand.  When you rotate the top, a silicone straw pops out;
when you rotate it back, the straw is bent and squished so it just won't
leak at all. And it's got a wide mouth for easy cleaning or for putting a
lot of ice into your Moscow Mule. For ten bucks and change, I'm really
happy. And it comes with a mini carabiner so I could clip it to my climbing
harness, and even tie on a safety lanyard.

Back when I was flying balloons, I was given a plaque that said "Travel
light in life--take only what you need: a few friends, a little to eat, and
a little more than enough to drink, because thirst is a dangerous thing."

Subject: Re: catalina27-talk: recalled bosun's chair

Dave suggested one for under 42 bux...but he also suggests a
"soft" chair with a built in cup holder....how can you lose with that?

No pieces, just clip in like you would with a b's'n's chair (better
known as a Vowel Avoidance Device)

I was merely suggested the old chairs with the board were downright
uncomfy and I always felt like if the thing inverted all future betting
was off.
