Dear Friends:
Adam had a good day. All of his numbers were good. They are trickle
feeding him through a feeding tube. The ventilator settings are lower than
yesterday and his oxygen level remains good. Removing him from the breathing
tube
is still a priority but no real decision as to when they will try to do that.
The tube becomes more and more uncomfortable as Adam gains consciousness.
Imagine waking up groggy to find a rather large tube down your throat causing
a choking sensation and making it so you cannot talk and making it difficult
to swallow. Fortunately, Adam is only "awake" for brief moments at this time.
Please pray
• Adam will be successfully weaned from the ventilator
• His body continues to heal
• He will not develop any infections
