Yes, if I were going to give any advice to the 40-footer crew, it would be ³even if you had the right of way, don¹t do THAT again!²
If you look at the situation, the difference between the T-bone collision of small to large, versus large to small, was only a few seconds. The two kinds of collisions are almost equally likely, once you create the conditions for a collision in the first place. If the larger had hit the smaller amidships, it would have sunk her in two seconds. --Dave S.
