There are several types of these terminals. Simple crimp, which is well known, crimp/shrink tube, solder/shrink tube, and crimp/solder/shrink tube. In other words, many different flavors for different PREFERENCES. Even simple crimp connectors have many sub categories (insulated, non-insulated, etc.)

Don't expect these to cost the same as simple crimp terminals. I've used them all, on smaller gauge wire (up to 8 Ga.), on vehicles, in high salt/moisture conditions (i.e. roads during Michigan winters). I've use "solder slugs" on battery cables in automotive and hi/lo applications in severe use/vibration conditions without failure. If you can sweat copper pipe, you can use these all successfully. I could also argue the resistance would be lower on these terminals as well.

As for the UL Conditions of Use, I'll see what I can do.
