Very unfortunate. With a very quick scan I can see how the issued license completely ignores what the community has agreed upon concerning the wording of the terms of the license variations and conditions, as acknowledged and reviewed by lawyers of AboGhazala Foundation, Ramy Olwan and Zeiad Maraqa who did much of the Jordanian port and lead the public discussions and corresponded to the community in extended conversation and debates about the porting to Arabic. in the Doha meeting of October 2010. The meeting that was attended by Hala Salmawy of Bibliotheca Alexandrina. as far as I can remember [http://ahmad.gharbeia.org/2010/11/19/041631]
Moreover, the wording of the published legal code instates the confusion between the license as a contract (essentially) and the Creative Commons foundation by relating the license to the organisation, which implies that the organisation is somehow a party in the licensing. I have also to say that the wording over all leaves much space for improvement, compared to other fine examples of legislation and contractual language. The Bibliotheca Alexandrina have worked for over 6 years in complete isolation, ignored everything the community had to say.
