Good Day, Just wanted to ask a quick questions on the following two issues:
1) Difference between HSRPv1 and HSRPv2, in terms of configuration additions. I think the multicast address used changed to 224.0.0.102 from 224.0.0.2. 2) Access-lists: matching networks routes, selecting specific hosts/IP addresses, etc. What is the best source with examples... Can't find this on DocCD. Thanks in anticipation. Kind Regards, Jowi "In Prosperity Our Friends Know Us. In Adversity We Know Our Friends." -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of [email protected] Sent: 25 June 2009 04:02 AM To: [email protected] Subject: CCIE_RS Digest, Vol 41, Issue 89 Send CCIE_RS mailing list submissions to [email protected] To subscribe or unsubscribe via the World Wide Web, visit http://onlinestudylist.com/mailman/listinfo/ccie_rs or, via email, send a message with subject or body 'help' to [email protected] You can reach the person managing the list at [email protected] When replying, please edit your Subject line so it is more specific than "Re: Contents of CCIE_RS digest..." The only thing that I can think of off the top of my head is windows vista doesn't enable the telnet server/client b default. You need to enable both of these and then re-install dynagen or GNS3 whichever you are using. If that is not the problem please provide details. I hope you can help me. Here is my problem: I can create projects and save them, but I cannot load a .net file, any .net file. I open gns3, everything looks fine, my hypervisor is all good, dynamips tests ok, I'm ready to go to town. But when I try to open a .net project from within gns3, I just get a blank workspace. I checked my paths in the .ini file and the .net files. What am I missing? If you can't do that then you have an installation issue. Regards, ? Tyson Scott - CCIE #13513 R&S and Security Technical Instructor - IPexpert, Inc. I was just wondering if it got lost some how. _____ From: Rob [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, June 23, 2009 10:45 PM To: '' Subject: Volume 1 task 9.5 While configuring my routers with this task I noticed that the loopbacks from R5 would not show up on R6 routing table.. Same for R6's loopback to R5. It did not take long and I noticed that the configuration had a flaw in the fact that split horizon was killing those routes on R2 since R2 was acting has the hub of the frame relay network.. When I checked the proctors guide it shows that it was operating without turning split horizon off. Am I missing something or was that command omitted from the proctors guide?
