Thanks Joe! You helped me out again. I just happened to notice from my
redrawing of the diagrams on each lab that some sometimes F0/0 is used and
other times it was F0/1. I never caught that the map I was looking for was
only in there when it did not met that diagram you told me about

One thing that I am not sure if it is an issue with the lab, or that the
Proctor labs setup that I am using this weekend does not match is related to
Vol 2 Lab 9. The Gig port from R2 does not appear to be plugged in
anywhere. It was not a major detail. Once I noticed that even hard coding
speed and duplex had no affect and even shutting down the port had no report
on any switch I just assumed the cable is not there. I just reconfigured
slightly and just noted the difference in a lab task. Do you know if The
Gig port for R2 is normally operational on the Proctor lab racks?

Hey Rob!

So the diagrams provided for the specific labs are logical in nature. To
get the physical topology, you need to look at the general physical topology
diagram. That is not provided in every single lab, because it never
changes. To download it if you do not have it, check out
http://proctorlabs.com/PDF/RS_9_std_top.pdf

In my studying days, I printed that bad boy out and tacked it up on the wall

I actually have all of that however there is no where I can see within the
drawing provided nor in the instruction that would say the BB1 is on Port
11. I can easily tell which switch it is plugged into just not the port.

No of the routers on the diagrams have that information either however the
do show up in CDP so I could tell. (actually I already need from all of the
prior labs in WB1 and the others in WB2 that I have done but at this point I
am playing dumb as if this is the first time I have ever seen this setup)

I am wondering is that information was missed when writing the lab or if it
is that way for a reason and I just have not figured it out as of yet.

whats the physical topology .
In fact from my opinion .... thats the way to start the exam .. draw
physical topo diagrams and mark the vlans on port .. This will make
life much easier.
