Just to add to what Bryan had mentioned, have you tried deleting the
vlan.dat, re-booting and then starting over?
Also, it might have something to do with switch 3 and 4... Check out
what is going on with them also!

Hi Bauke,
Is the trunk up between cat1 and cat2? Also, you can debug vtp with
"debug sw-vlan vtp" commands. What do you see?

Basic question Team:
I am using Cat1 (server) and Cat2 (client) for my LAB.
They can not synch the config revision #. This emans I can never get
my VLANs created on Cat1 to be advertised to Cat2.
Did everything, rebooted the devices, powercycled them, no help.
After rebooting, they both come back with config revisoin 0. Once I
config 1 sigle VLAN (vlan 12) on Cat1, the config revision # goes
to 1 (which is correct). But then I never see vlan 12 advertised in
Cat2. Not even reloading Cat2, it always comes back with config.
revion # equal to zero. Reloading Cat1, nothing changes. Any help?
Thanks
bauke
PS: In the past, in a scenario like this, all it took me to get the
VLANs advertised from the server to the cleint, was to reload the
boxes...not this time. Double-checked domain name, password all the
same.
