Hi Manny,

My advice is to proceed with RS first befor Security if you really want 
security. I view RS as the base foundation in the CCIE tracks. Security , 
Voice, QoS, Wireless as i see it sits on top of the base routing and switching.

I myself took CCIE Security written a few years and passed it coz I have very 
heavy background on Security just like you back but didn't go through the lab 
as I felt that I need to nail down the foundation of Cisco , which is really 
routing and switching.

This is my opinion.

Hello Dears,



I'm in the middle of CCIE R&S i
have done volume one workbook of IPexpert but i really do not have
experience in R&S i have three years of experience with Cisco PIX
Firewalls, ASA Firewalls, VPN concentrator,  and IPS but i started CCIE R&S and
passed written exam too and also read alot of books done workbook
volum-1 of IPexpert, Just need your advice should i stope R&S and
start the journey for CCIE Security.
