Subject: Re: [OSL | CCIE_RS] Roll back config in cisco

Hi Taqdir,

AFAIK with IOS there is no option as you describe but with IOS-XR you can do
exactly what you describe. I guess this doesn't help you because IOS-XR is
not used on the CCIE Lab. The ASR9k, the CRS-1 and a "migrated-GSR" are
running IOS-XR. I'm not sure about the ASR1k running IOS-XE, if there is the
same functionality available (long time ago since I've used IOS-XE.)

I love this feature on IOX-XR and use it often in the LAB. Just sad that all
the amazing features of IOS-XR are not available on IOS for all the low-end
boxes.

regards

Betreff: [OSL | CCIE_RS] Roll back config in cisco

Hi Friends

Like in case of juniper we have rollback option, that is configuration will
automatically roll back after certain period of time what we mentioned even
if loose telnet access.

I know in cisco we have below command

configure replace nvram:startup-config

But if loose telnet access after some misconfiguration we wont be able to
type it without console.

So like juniper is there any option in cisco that we can give prior doing
any configuration change , so that even if we loose telnet access it will
roll back automatically ?
