Hi,
Along with this in JUNOS we can set the timer before we commit and if there is
some misconfiguration the previous config gets implemented to get the access
back.

I am not sure about IOS-XR.

a configure replace will of course not help when you loose your telnet
connection to the box :-)
Like Bill mentioned, the best thing to do on regular IOS is to use the 'reload
in' command, which reloads your device after a specified amount of minutes.
That way the startup-config becomes active again and you are able to log-in to
the box.
But your traffic will be hit, since the router really reloads (for the CCIE lab
this doesn't matter of course).

IOS-XR indeed does have a similar rollback functionality like JUNOS has, which
is pretty cool. IOS-XE doesn't have this configuration management, but it does
run separate IOS processes, so I don't know if it's possible to let the device
fail-over to the other IOS process when you loose your connection (also with a
specified amount of minutes for example).

Hi Friends

Like in case of juniper we have rollback option, that is configuration will
automatically roll back after certain period of time what we mentioned even if
loose telnet access.

I know in cisco we have below command
configure replace nvram:startup-config
But if loose telnet access after some misconfiguration we wont be able to type
it without console.

So like juniper is there any option in cisco that we can give prior doing any
configuration change , so that even if we loose telnet access it will roll back
automatically ?
