Hey Don,

Not sure I am following this but I will give it a try (just had a quick look
;) )

Where I would say that you may have went in the wrong was R1 and R5
indicated to put all other loopbacks into their appropriate areas (not to
create an area 0) so....
R1 - Loopback can be area 16 or 15
R5 - Loopback can be area 15 or 25

HTH - and if I am off base you or someone will guide me straight :/

Subject: [OSL | CCIE_RS] Workbook 3, Lab9, Task 2.3, Bullet #2

I went through this section relatively quickly but at the end I was
curious as I did something a little different than what is provided in the
DSG...

The second bullet states: .... Add the Loopback0 interface of each of the
other devices (R5/R1) to the appropriate area..
The subsequent bullets discuss connectivity between loopbacks throughout
the OSPF network need to be maintained and if connectivity is lost between
R2/R6, they must be able to reach each others Loopback0 intf's...

I added the loopbacks of R1/R5 to Area 0, via virtual-links to either
R1->R5->R2 or via R1->R6... The DSG has them listed as being installed to
Areas other than 0 which are connected via physical interfaces.. Are there
any caveats I am overlooking by placing them in Area 0 and utilizing the
redundant Virtual-Links...
