One thing to keep in mind, that 1001-1005 are in a weird range,
'reserved' on some chassis, and not reserved on others.

Could just be an artifact/bug in the code for that VLAN.

Subject: [OSL | CCIE_RS] VLAN 1003 parent VLAN missing

I have recieved this error a few times after modifying VTP version and
trying to create a vlan. In the past a reload seemed to fix it, but
this time I had to set VTP back to version 1 and create the VLAN, then
set back to V2. Anyone know the actual cause and how to avoid?

VLAN 1003 parent VLAN missing

Pod124-Cat3(config)#vlan 93
