We're straying off topic here, so Marko's Iron Fist will be beaning me any moment, but I think this thread raises an interesting question: Are there any technologies that truly are "Service Provider Only" and would never, ever be deployed in an enterprise setting? It's more rhetorical than anything, but just about every "SP" topic I think of, there is probably some enterprise or retail application for.
Some topics may not be on the Cisco CCIE Routing and Switching lab exam blueprint, but it doesn't mean they aren't technologies that any "expert" shouldn't at least be aware of.
