Hi All,
I hope you can help me with this one. In this task Cat1 should use R4
as the RP for all multicast groups. To override the default behavior in
which dynamic protocol (PIM) is used over the static configuration, I
typed on cat1
ip pim rp-address 200.0.0.4 override
R4 needed
ip pim rp-address 200.0.0.4
I tried to verify the output and I can see on Cat1
Cat3550-1#show ip pim rp map

Group(s): 224.0.0.0/4, Static-Override
RP: 200.0.0.4 (?)
Does that mean that the static override did not work properly as I can
see also the dynamic entries? Or that the more specific entries are used
but if there is no specific entry for the group the last entry is used?
Thanks,
Lukasz
