Hi Michael,

Just like runners do not only run 26 miles and 385 yards whenever they are
training for a marathon, for the CCIE if you are focusing on specific
technologies or examples rather than doing full blown lab exercises, or
practicalities of real life may not allow 8 consecutive hours of use
compared to smaller intervals.  However as you suggest, there is plenty of
need to to be certain you can endure the lab and this too requires
practice.  Smaller sessions sizes should also mean a better chance of being
more optimal to more people within different time zones, with the option to
book back to back sessions when needed for those 8 hour lab pracs...
