It's been a couple years since I explored this topic, but I do remember
battling similar issues. Your experience is kind of backward from what I
would expect, I would think the DHCP would work but the IPCP fail due to
the /32 route. Have you tried experimenting with different OSPF area types?

Also fair warning, dealing with this stuff and IPv6 is even worse. I think
I finally swore it off and just prayed I didn't get IPv6 mixed with PPPoE.
