I have experienced the same situation as Jacob. In fact, when the conference bridge registers, you can see an ephone "type" registration.

It's worth a shot, i know it usually is only an issue when setting a transcoder on HQ since it inherintly doesn't have ephones registered to it and therefore that command is usually missing.
