I just got a crystal and checked it can diffract.However, the
resolution is low (3.1 A) and the mosaicity is about 1.1.
If these numbers come from 'home' diffraction I would suggest to
simply chill the champagne, get a 3.1 home dataset to check space
group et al,
if its molecular replacement solve the structure, and then go to the
synchrotron to collect it
at higher resolution ...
If these numbers are from a good beamline I agree with Tim:
with the additional suggestion that your small crystals (50-100 microns)
might be better ordered and might give better data at a beamline.
