Wow, where were you stationed? In the late 1980s I was at Beale AFB working on SR-71 cameras and we used solder wick and manual suckers!

McChord AFB in Tacoma, WA from '83 - '86. We did a lot of in-house repair on the boards from the Hughes Air Defense computer system AN/FYQ-93. We would also repair boards from other bases who weren't able to fix them. :-)
